THIS COASTLINE

This Coastline is a photographic project documenting an experience of the North Cornwall and Devon Atlantic coast.
The photographs grew out of extended periods spent along this stretch of coastline, revisited over many years. Living beside the sea, waking to the sound of the ocean, and experiencing its changing rhythm became part of a daily routine.
Photography slowly became integral to this life. Shot over several winters, the photographs were made intuitively—responding to fleeting changes in weather, light, and sea, sometimes reacting instantly as storms came in or waves surged, and at other times patiently revisiting the same spot again and again.
The photographs were there as a process to experience the place. A document of being there and living alongside the ocean.
